North Central Career Centers Mission Statement
Our mission is to be the primary link between the Commonwealth’s employers and the workforce of North Central Massachusetts. We strive to strengthen this relationship by providing a pool of skilled workers for industry while offering a streamlined process for training and retraining for overall job enrichment.
The Career Center desires to improve the economic well being of its two primary customer groups – Businesses and Workers. The partnership focuses on reinforcing the competitive strength of its workforce and improving worker employability through education, training and employment programs/services.
We service businesses and job seekers of the following towns:
Ashburnham, Ashby, Ayer, Barre, Berlin, Bolton, Clinton, Devens, Fitchburg, Gardner, Groton, Harvard, Hubbardston, Lancaster, Leominster, Lunenburg, Pepperell, Princeton, Shirley, Sterling, Templeton, Townsend, Westminster, Winchendon.
The North Central Career Centers is part of a Statewide Network of One-Stop Career Centers. The One-Stop Career Centers are administered locally by Workforce Investment Boards - comprised of business, government, education, labor and community leaders - to ensure that each center is meeting the needs of its community, in addition to providing a standard level of basic services.
Our partners include, in addition to the Executive Office of Labor & Workforce Development Career Services & Unemployment Services; Employment Links, Inc. and Mount Wachusett Community College Education Opportunities Center.
